Ocean County Clerk Candidate Celebrates, Siyum, At The Minyan

egert siyum minyanPHOTOS: Well he didn’t exactly win the seat for Ocean County Clerk, but Shalom Egert instead won himself some reward for the next world yesterday by celebrating a Siyum last night at the Minyan Shelanu. The celebration, which was to take place at the Chavrei Kollel, was attended by friends and Rabbonim, including Reb Chaim Abadi Shlita of the Minyan Shelanu. Photos: Crystal Photography.

  2. To: “Minyan boy says”
Why don’t you get a life and stop being so Jealous of any place other than your MINYAN!! R Chaim is a great guy, but you all make him look bad every time you put down the Kollel or any other place you decide to put down to promote yourself when you don’t even know the facts. I don’t think that’s what he teaches you nor would he be proud, so find something else to do with your wasted life other then writing stupid comments maybe try volunteering at the Minyan!!

  3. thanks to sholem egert for sponsoring that yummy food, kugel , soda ,donuts, yum. thanks to all the eaters you are gr8. thanks to all 798 photographers. good luck mr egert on all you endeavers

  4. To: “Minyan boy says:” #2

Why do you guys always have to put down other places to to promote yourself? Stop being so jealous of all the other good places. we know the Minyan is a good place and there are many others as well. GET A LIFE!!!!

  5. Not Jealous, Minyan Boy did not put anyone down. He was saying in his own way how so many of the Rabbis in Lakewood support The Minyan and maybe he was trying to tell others to support it as well!

  6. Mazal Tov!

Minyan Shelanu is “THE only place in Lakewood” where EVERYONE can, and does, come for ANY sort of help or support!! Be it a yeshiva-man, parent, in-law, teen, layman, yeshivish, not yeshivish, litvish, chasidish, sefardish, etc.

Minyan Shelanu has made numerous Melava Malkas on sporadic Motzoei shabbosim. There were large turnouts. They have mesibas for Chanuka, Purim, etc. They have a shabbaton with numerous inspiring rabbonim and askonim in attendance.

They have shiurim given by prominent (yeshivish, litvish, chasidish, sefardish) Roshei Yeshiva and Rabbonim. There are daily – TWO minyanim for shachris, a minyan for mincha, night seder with chavrusos and maariv.

Minyan Shelanu has sent numerous boys to learn in yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel.

THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO ELABORATE ON THE MANY ZECHUSIM AND HATZOLAS NEFOSHOS that The Minyan has done and continues to do.

The minyan is a place where you may see a boy with long hair saying yehei shmay rabbah ‘bekol koichoy’! Yes THOSE boys are OUR boys, OUR children, OUR klal Yisroel,OUR MINYAN– where every yochid feels that he CAN belong, and that belonging can keep THEM all afloat in order to keep THEM as part of US!!

Remember: These are OUR children! YES, OUR children! Not from NY or elswhere. No parent should have to ever experience these trying situations.

So, I take this opportunity to publicly say THANK YOU! to:
-the one and only – Rabbi Chaim Abadi Shlit”a,
    -All the Rabbis,
    -the guys,
-and everyone else at Minyan Shelanu
for your constant, consistent, 24/7/365, caring, VOLUNTEER work!

  7. Quote from 5:
“R Chaim is a great guy, but you all make him look bad every time you put down the Kollel or any other place you decide to put down”

    A) I dont see why you think he was putting someone down. There’s nothing negative about his comment.

    B) How does he make Rabbi Abadi look bad?? Are you serious?

    C) (Even IF in YOUR eyes the Rabbi now looks bad,) I think your threat of possibly causing The Rabbi to look bad in YOUR eyes, really makes some people shiver. (lol)

  8. As R Rotberg said last night at the shiur BMG Minyan Kollel and every other Yeshivah hs one thing that unites us all Hashm and The Torah. There may be different venues but we are all at the same event!!!

  9. Wow good job by sholom. #12 I agree I don’t see what #5 & 8 are taking about. There is nothing negative abbot why minyan boy wrote. PS R, Abadi is the greatest and will help anyone anytime no mate what is needed he is mamish a tzadik.
