  1. Yeah right back on the sidewalk. All they will do is move it closer to the curb. Its ridiculous that our leaves are still sitting. Why cant we have regular bag leaf pickup.

    • In hindsight, you’re right! But I’ve been living in Lakewood for over 40 years. I don’t think I ever had my leaves still there after New Years in time for the first snowfall. I’ll have to remember to do that next year and not rely on leaf pickup anymore.

  2. it’s a disgrace what this town looks like with all the leaves not picked up. i have seen leaves on both sides of rt.9 in the same place for over a month. there is no reason that the leaves could not be picked up the weather was nice and warm. i have yet to see the vacuum truck come around. our public works usually does a great job i don’t know what happened this year. whenever i call the public works to report and leave my phone number i never get a return call. i think their pr needs fixing

  3. Everyone here is blasting DPW and that’s understandable but they’re human beings too and probably short handed like everyone else. This virus it’s hitting hospitals, businesses, the private sector, the government the same way it can hit a member of your immediate family. At least they’re open and working, not like DMV or even some offices of our municipal building that after almost 2 years are still working from home. And if nobody’s returning your calls is probably cause there’s not enough people at DPW to answer the phone? Cause the last time I got to speak to someone, i was told to be patience cause it was only 1 person taking the calls a day. Let’s be grateful for our guys at DPW, they’re humans not machines and can get sick like you and me.
