The NTSB investigation into Sunday’s plane crash in Ocean County could take two years to complete, the department told TLS today.
The NTSB says investigators will be looking at the human, machine and environment as the outline of the investigation. Part of the investigation will be to request radar data, weather information and maintenance records.
Nobody was injured in the crash, which happened shortly before 6:00 PM.
The preliminary report, which includes all the factual information learned to date, is expected to publish 15 days after the accident, the NTSB said.
“Investigations currently take between 12 and 24 months to complete,” they said.

He was having mechanical problems before he crashed.
I marked that down in my calendar. I’ll be checking the NTSB’s website in May of 2024 to see the report.
