Please be aware New Jersey Natural Gas Company and Kiely Company will be working to install a new gas main beneath Eighth Street, between Lakewood Avenue and Forest Avenue. A temporary NO PARKING area will be designated on Eighth Street along the southern edge of the roadway. The parking restriction is necessary to allow work crews a clear area in which to install the new utility. Kiely Company has distributed informational flyers to homes and vehicles on Eighth Street affected by this project. The Police Department has posted EMERGENCY NO PARKING placards on Eighth Street indicating the days of the week and the times of the day parking will be restricted. Curbside parking will be prohibited Monday April 27th through Friday May 1st between the hours of 8AM and 4PM each day. Motorists traveling west on Eighth Street may find temporary road closures however east bound travel will always be permitted. Drivers of emergency and service vehicles may experience traffic delays on Eighth Street between Lakewood Avenue and Forest Avenue due to this utility work. Thank you in advance as this utility improvement project is completed to improve your neighborhood.
