1. I want to say social service actually helped me greatly during my need. I am forever greatful. They worked emailed stuck with me and put up with me. One woman acually saved my life i mean it literally I was contemplating ending it all. AFter being with my husband since I was 15 to 43 and separated for almost ten years abusive mentally and physically. I became homeless after being away from a live in care giver the house burned down the man trapped in the basement. I not only lost the person I took care of but I lost my whole life my pictures my furniture my ID everything was gone ocean county helped me a great deal they gave me shelter and they talked to me with respect they took the time out and really worked with me. I told the social worker she saved my life if it wasnt for her ID be gone. Im in an apartment. I got a roof over my head food on my table now getting ssi. I have sever copd kidney function at 60% this person talked to me and as 2 yrs went by I began hanging up the phone saying by I love you like I do to my kids my family friends. She and this program gave me a chance to live on my own not having to go back to an abusive relationship and im still married but im living i just got to see my 9th grandchild be born at 52 yrs old I can stand with pride its ok to ask for help you cant always do it without help. Forever greatfull.seaside heights NJ. Keep honking those horns they did work endless hours and caseloads and many not so respectful clients some arent even thankful greatful for the help they do. This community this county gets more help then any other county. I blessed to be a part of it. Thank you and I no if you read this you’ll know who im talking about yes you! Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. You heard me cry you seen me so sick and I was letting it go not no more im fighting to live. I want to live even if I got a yr six months its more then I expected. And its because of you.
