TLS has been advised that the Yum Yum Yogurt store in the Cedarbridge, Route 70 area is owned by a Jew. Although there is reportedly no Hashgacha, the yogurt is supposedly Kosher as an OU sign is displayed in the window. However, there may be an issue with Chometz She’avar Alav Hapesach, being that the owner is Jewish.
Please consult with your Rav as to how long one should wait after Pesach prior to eating from the mentioned store.
Please note, a Rav was contacted and was asked that the information be publicized.
Tls is not authorized to make decisions to hurt a yids business. Who said that the products he sells are even chometz gomur?
does tls know forsure the chometz(if any) was not sold? also. did the rav contact toe owner of the buisiness?
is this the old maggie moo store?
Anyone who eats from a food store that has no official Hashgacha and just relies on the owner hanging an OU symbol in the window, probably doesn’t even know what Chametz She’avor Alav HaPesach is.
to mr. R. this is no different then buying flavored slurpies and wawa. they have signs there too so imntsure what your commentt is all about
A Rov who doesn’t give his name is not a Rov that we can obey. Everyone should ask his own poseik, as the article says.
to #4 I think you are right. I think that this is the old maggie moo store , and to # 6 you a absolutly right
It’s near Target-not the old Maggie Moo

Exactly. That’s why one can only eat at a 7-11 or Wawa that has a Rav certifying that it’s Kosher.
Simply relying on the owner to hang a sign “OU”, is wrong.
The wawa and 7 eleven, are plain syrup with CO2 . Which is dispensed by the person alone, however the ice cream store in question is jsut representing that A ice cream is kosher in their store, there is no hashgacha on the other items or on the utensils for their cleanliness. Some ice cream stores have running water to wash the scoops . But this doesn’t help for the shakes or if the scooper was properly cleaned
Maybe the owner can become orthodox. That would help the reliability.
We need to reach out..,
I’ve been there. There is a line of soft serve machines of different flavors. You take a cup, fill with flavors you want. Then proceed to another station where you choose your toppings. At the register you pay by weight.
Kind of pricey and I did not find the flavors worth a second trip for me. I prefer Carvel.
We must patronize our own. Too many of is are buying food in Costco. We should be only buying nonfoods there. & afterall that is the only way we can be sure all is Halacha.
Last Sukas i saw jews getting popcorn at a non-jewish place. The owner showed the jews, that the packet being used was kosher. . . Who knows what types of popcorn have been made in this machine previously? With butter/oil perhaps.
If WaWa, 7-11 and the like would approach a Hashgocho for a Hechsher based on “the product is just syrup with CO2, do you believe that they would issue a Hechsher based on that?
i dont think anyone should ever ever eat by a place that does not have proper hecsher… oyyy givalt what has this world come to!
i must agree with #16.
We were just zoche to reminisce of the geula..why would one chas v’shalom want to be ovar an aveira and eat a treifa’ zach?
we b’h have Rita’s with a hechsher this summer,is that not enough?!
WE as a klal should continue to help each other become better yidden to bring the geula b’mheira b’yameinu. amen!
I am the owner of yum yum yogurt ,we sell self serve yogurt not ice cream ,the Maggie Moos is in the A & P we are next to Target,we have no scoopers or utensils for the yogurt it is dispensed in a paper cup there is nothing to clean .All the yogurt is kosher not because I say it is but because the company who makes the yogurt certifies it in writing, and that would be against the law if it were not true .We have the certifications on premises for anyone to see .I think this is very unfair to be trash talking a new business and being incorrect at the same time .
Sounds like a competitor is not liking Yum Yum Yogurt and stirring up some trouble ,why are we attacking a fellow Jew
Yum Yum Yogurt is 100 % Kosher , under Rabbinical supervision
