NOTE: Gelbstein’s Food Boxes Being Distributed WEDNESDAY

Due to Thanksgiving being celebrated on Thursday, the Lakewood Board of Education will be distributing free food boxes on Wednesday this week.

The BOE says they have already distributed nearly 3 million meals to children under the age of 18 since the program first began.

The distribution will take place at their usual time and locations – the Clifton Avenue Grade School and the Lakewood Middle School from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Only those arriving by car will begin receiving the boxes at 3:30, with individuals arriving on foot receiving boxes beginning at 4:00.

Last week, there was no food left already at 520 in Lakewood middle school.

The notices from the BOE said food distribution will start at 3:45 this Wed.
