PHOTOS & VIDEO [UPDATED 1:30 PM] A home fire in Village Park prompted a large response from the Lakewood Fire Department this afternoon. The fire reportedly began in the kitchen of the home, and quickly filled the home with smoke.
The home’s occupants were not home when the fire started, a neighbor says, and the fire was reported by a maid.
Lakewood EMS and Lakewood First Aid responded to the scene as well.
The fire was brought under control within about 15 minutes.
The Fire Marshal’s office is on scene investigating.
