A fire broke out at a home in Jackson early this morning, but luckily nobody was injured.
The fire at the Oregon Avenue home broke out shortly after midnight.
Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke billowing from the home and quickly learned the fire had originated in the basement.
The Fire chief says the homeowner attempted to extinguish the fire using a water hose, but was unsuccessful.
All occupants made it out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
