Shots were fired early this morning at an apparent target in Lakewood, but nobody was injured, police tell TLS. Police say a back window of a vehicle parked in the100 block of Martin Luther King Drive was struck from the bullets, but the intended target – a man from Newark – was not hit.
A total of 4 bullet casings were found at the scene, sources tell TLS.
Police say the suspect was not apprehended, and witnesses are not being cooperative with their investigation.
The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene and is also assisting with the investigation. TLS-MK/CCP.
