As of today, there are no more 24-hour pharmacies in Lakewood.
In 2015, CVS announced it was stopping its 24-hour pharmacy, and last year they announced it would not remain open store-wide 24 hours.
The one remaining 24-hour pharmacy was Walgreens. But of today, the Walgreens pharmacy at Route 70 and River Avenue will close at 11pm – stopping their 24-hour service.
The closest 24-hour pharmacy to Lakewood is now CVS, on Bananier Drive in Toms River – approximately nine miles out of Lakewood.
Honestly, I’m not sure exactly what is the need for a 24hr pharmacy.
What are you getting prescribed at 3 in morning?
And as far as I know, the hospital has its own in-house pharmacy

Very often parents first realize their child has an ear infection at bedtime. By the time it is diagnosed by a doctor/PA and medicine is prescribed it could be close to 11pm. This has happened to me a couple of times. A hospital visit as you are suggesting can be extremely expensive and time consuming.
Between the pharmacist and an assistant it cost the store over 150k to be 24hr they will never make that kind of money on 3am prescriptions and to the last person if you finally get back from urgent care at 11pm get the prescription filled the next morning nothing will happen
24 hrs needed especially after shabbos or yom tov in the summer.
We used already 24hour CVS pharmacy in toms river. It was great we needed. We could not wait until morning.
