I’m definitely voting for Mikie Sherrill! We don’t need someone like Jack Ciattarelli who will say anything to get elected and who is a total trump puppet who will do whatever Trump want him to do and not deliver for this state unlike Mikie Sherrill who is a great candidate who will stand up towards authoritarianism and will be an amazing Governor!

Please explain how is Sherrill a great candidate?

How would she be an amazing governor?

Without any explanation or proof, which there are none, it makes no sense to promote voting for that candidate.

Very simple. If you are NOT on any government programs, and/or you are but got your head screwed on straight, you’ll vote republican. Otherwise you’ll vote Democrat out of the fear of losing all your programs. What the democrats tend to do, is they entice you by offering, free Healthcare(medicaid), free childcare(CHS), free food(SNAP/WIC), free housing(SECTION 8) Etc….. you become so heavily reliant on it. That you have to go with all of their terrible policies. And how do they pay for all these policies and programs? By raising taxes on the middle class. And you can’t now not vote for them, because the other candidate usually wants to make sure you work and stop feeding off those hard working individuals around you. Hatzlacha. We all know jack is better for the community. The question is, are we willing to give up our programs and do what’s right.

Voting for progarms is Kefira. Hashem will give you all that you need. The minute you say you need to vote for programs, you’re saying Hashem doesn’t supply your needs.

Whoever you’re voting for make sure they earn your vote. And you may want to consider writing me in you want to (just kidding) but really make sure they earn your vote.

I’m voting for Jack Ciattarelli (not because he’s a Republican – still recovering from Christie – and despite him aligning with Trump) for the following reasons:
1) Mikie Sherill has an impressive resume; yet, still didn’t articulate a vision for NJ and why she should be governor (other than saying Trump along with a Harris word salad.
2) Mikie Sherrill hasn’t even made an attempt to court my vote and the vote of the Lakewood community. While Ciattarelli frequents Lakewood, Sherill hasn’t made it her business to visit even once (and Lakewood is one of Jersey’s largest towns).
3) Mikie Sherrill positions herself as a moderate; yet, she embraced and endorsed the anti-Semitic and socialist, Zohran Mamdani, for NYC mayor, even before the NY Democrats endorsed him. She can try to claim that Ciattarelli will be a Trump puppet, but I’d rather take a Trump puppet over an AOC squad supporter.
4) Mikie Sherill served the country, both in the Navy and as a congresswoman, but she served herself as well. If I were to earn $7m in stock trades within a short period of time, I would know. Her aloofness in (not) answering that discovery was worse than the crime.
5) Jack Ciattarelli may tell us what we want to hear, but at least he’s addressing (with details) our needs, both with respect to tuition relief, as well as our skyrocketing taxes and utility costs. Mikie Sherill may mean well (despite not formulating any real plans yet), but when she doesn’t want to commit to tax reforms or merely wants to “freeze” utility rates, you can see that she’s not from New Jersey.

You obviously didn’t Read the comment,or you don’t see what goes on in this town. Jack came to visit his lieutenant came to visit, sherill on the other hand is no where to be found.

That still doesn’t explain why you should TRUST Jack over Mikie no matter how many times Jack has visited Lakewood.

We haven’t had three consecutive terms of governors from the same party in NJ since the early 60s.

I can tell you all about what’s right or wrong with both candidates, but I’d rather tell you about how smart Jerseyans are.

We are swing that try to make sure that our politicians never get too comfortable in office and are always aware that they are one election away from being thrown out if they don’t follow what were the people demand.

Moshe

This is so classic…
Do we vote Republican because their beliefs and policies allign with our values, or do we vote Democrat because they will give more money? My chinnuch is to vote alongside our values so I will be voting Jack. Sadly, our community has a tendency to endorse toeva because when it comes to money, all values and even the Torah go out the window like we have seen far to often.

You say to find out what authentic daas torah holds. Is the Lakewood Vaad going to be ‘asidin liten es Hadin’ for endorsing “DemonRat” Phil Murphy in 2017 and 2021???
And maybe don’t call anyone voting for a Democrat ’empty headed fools’.

I am voting for Mikie Sherrill. If another poster can say he is voting for Jack because he is “ good for our community,” then I can say I am voting for a fellow veteran.

if she was good enough to be sent if necessary, to the Middle East when she was on active duty, she is good enough to go to Trenton

That’s dumb logic what does military have to do with running a state.

Serving in the military shows patriotism and the ability to serve the country. The military teaches skills such as leadership & discipline, which are good skills to have as a governor.

Before we endorse any candidate: forget about what they say and what they promise; I would check out which Church(‘s) that candidate and family has been attending and been part of and what that church has been telling them about Jews.
