NJ Transit Train Catches Fire in Ocean County [PHOTOS]

A New Jersey Transit train caught fire today in Point Pleasant today, officials said.

The incident happened around 12:00 PM, and around 30 people were said to be on the train. Nobody was injured.

The Point Pleasant Beach Fire Department responded to the Washington Avenue train crossing, and upon arrival found smoke coming from the train, and extinguished the fire.

The fire department investigated and discovered a small fire under the stairs leading into the car, caused by an issue with the train’s power supply.
