NJ State Police Seek Suspects Who Fled Scene of Deadly Parkway Accident

The New Jersey State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in an ongoing investigation into a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred Sunday evening on the Garden State Parkway in Middlesex County.

According to authorities, the incident took place on June 29 at approximately 7:04 p.m. at milepost 130.2 in the southbound lanes of the Parkway in Woodbridge Township. Preliminary findings indicate that a BMW SUV, occupied by four individuals from Staten Island, NY, was traveling southbound when it collided with a Ford SUV and a separate BMW passenger vehicle.

Following the initial impact, the BMW SUV veered off the roadway, struck several trees, and overturned. Two of the SUV’s occupants fled the scene on foot. One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, and another sustained serious injuries. The drivers of the Ford SUV and the BMW passenger car were not injured.

State Police have not released the identities of those involved as the investigation remains active. No further details are available at this time.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who has information regarding the events before, during, or after the incident — including dashcam footage — to contact the Troop “D” Holmdel Station Detective Bureau at 732-441-4500 ext. 7426. Anonymous tips will be accepted.
