NJ Homeland Security Grants announced for all Nonprofits; Details from Agudah NJ Director Rabbi Avi Schnall [VIDEO]

The New Jersey Department of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) announced the opening of the following two competitive security related grants for New Jersey’s nonprofit institutions for 2021.

1. Security Personnel (NJ NSGP-SP): To be used exclusively for hiring additional security personnel. The NSGP-SP allows a maximum request of $10,000.

2. Target Hardening (NJ NSGP- THE): To be used for the purchase and installation of physical security measures, such as surveillance cameras and fencing. The NSGP-THE allows a maximum request of $50,000. In order to be eligible for the THE grant, an applying institution must be determined to be at “high risk” of a terrorist attact r”l.

Your Nonprofit may apply for the grants even if you are receiving the nonpublic school security funding. If your nonprofit is interested in applying for either of the grants, we encourage you to read additional guidelines here and watch the relevant workshops on the NJOHSP website here. Applications for the grants are being accepted now until Monday, November 30th.
