With the flu season being one of the worst on record, and causing at least one death in New Jersey, health officials are urging residents to get vaccinated.
“It is not too late to get vaccinated,” says New Jersey Principal Deputy Commissioner of Health Jackie Cornell. “Flu activity usually peaks between December and February, but it can last as late as May,” Cornell said. “Everyone who is at least 6 months of age should get a flu vaccination this season.”
Certain people are at greater risk for serious complications from the flu. Those at high risk include:
-Children younger than 5, but especially children younger than 2 years old
-People 65 years of age and older
-Pregnant women and women up to 2 weeks after end of pregnancy
-American Indians and Alaskan Natives
-People who have medical conditions such as asthma, heart disease, and diabetes
Flu vaccination should also be a priority for those persons who live with or care for individuals at higher risk for influenza-related complications. This includes healthcare personnel and household contacts of children less than six months of age, since these children are too young to receive the flu vaccine.
It is also important to cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching hands to mouth, nose and eyes, wash your hands frequently, and stay home when sick. If you do get sick, ask your healthcare provider if antiviral medications are right for you. These medications can shorten the length of time you are sick.

Why are they pushing for a product that is 10% efffective? Take elderberry syrup, vitamin c and d.
Agree with holistic me!
The flu shots cause more harm than protection and don’t even protect you from all strains of the flu! If you smear tea trea oil under your nose before you are exposed to germs then you have a better chance of keeping the germs out! If you would know what toxins are added to any vaccine, you would think twice before taking them. Hashem put wonderful, natural things on this word for us to use to protect and heal ourselves. Be strong and don’t let any dr. Or school bully you into taking toxic vaccines or medication!36
Chicken soup works much better than the flu shot. As long as the chicken you make the soup out of wasn’t vaccinated or stuffed with antibiotics. That’s why your grandmother’s chicken soup was able to cure all kinds of diseases but modern chicken soup doesn’t work as well.
Also, when making soup, be sure to use bottled water. Tap water even with a filter is full of chlorine and weakens the immune system even more.
