Get rid of njaw…. they are way over priced already.
We already pay an extremely high price for water (& sewer)!
I hope the people in charge say NO!!
Prices are out of control. it has become more expensive than any other utility?
Water is one of the most expensive utilities with them… they are aggressive in billing and collection and they get you every turn of the way. Their meter breaks… they make up a number. Once they replaced the meter and claimed massive usage on the old meter they no longer had and then they just threaten to turn your water off if you don’t pay. Broken pipe… they make you run circles for a claim for relief they never give you. At the same time… they are sometimes as much as 3 times the cost of the Lakewood MUA!
They are much more expensive then the other company.
They should be lowering their price to bring it in line with the other company, not raising it.
F or many years I had problems with my sewer backing up and had to get the NJAWC to come and clean out the main, and the mess in my basement. Once or twice we had to pay a plumber because the NJAWC said it wasn’t their problem, but the plumber said it was. Only after about 20 years of this, the street was opened up where the main line in front of my house for an unrelated project and they discovered that the way the sewer pipes were constructed was totally messed up and that’s why we had so many back ups over the years. Now B”H I usually don’t have issues, but the last time I did – and it was the NJAWC’s fault, they didn’t want to clean up the mess left in the basement – until I called the BPU, and the ceo’s office – then all of a sudden they showed up with a professional team to clean, and disinfect and dry up my basement. Then they told me if it happens again, they won’t clean it up, that they only did it as a courtesy! If it chas vesholom ever happens again, I Will call the BPU again and their CEO.
This is insane. I live alone with my husband in a small unit and our water bill is double the electricity bill. I never paid for water in New York. Every few months they increase the bill.
We have to appreciate good that is done, but I once read that NJAW actually belongs to a German company. IOW, it’s an investment…
By the name (‘says’), I don’t mean ‘I’m the owner’, I mean ‘who is the owner…’
