In what the parents are calling a pure Neis (miracle), the infant struck by a vehicle while sitting in his stroller in a local parking lot earlier this week is expected to be released soon from the hospital, the parents tell TLS.
The mother says the MRI came back Wednesday, and showed “everything is good, and there was no brain damage. He didn’t even need surgery.”
The 11-month-old was sitting strapped in his stroller when a vehicle backing out of a space in a parking lot struck the stroller, knocking it to the ground.
When she saw her infant lying on the ground motionless, the fear set her and her other children panicking.
“I began shrieking,” the mother says. “It didn’t look good, it didn’t look like he was breathing.”
Someone inside the nearby office building heard the screams and ran towards the scene. It turns out that person knew CPR and immediately began performing it on the infant, the mother says, relaying what she was told afterwards.
“Hashem please help, please help,” one of the young sisters on scene could be heard crying while witnesses began saying Tehillim, as emergency personnel rushed to the scene.
Shortly afterward, says the mother, the baby started crying, providing the shaken family a bit of relief.
The child was stabilized by Hatzolah Paramedics, and transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
The mother says it seems the stroller took the brunt of the impact of the vehicle’s wheel, though the bleeding child had tire marks on him.
The infant remains hospitalized under heavy sedation, but is expected to be released by early next week.
“It was the Davening that changed things,” the mother said.
The family would like to thank the community for “the amazing Chesed” they showed them during this terrifying ordeal.

Mi Keamcha Yisrael!
I heard that as soon as there is a crisis one should say Tehilim immediately since there is a strong midas hadin then so zchusim can turn over to midas harachamim. So a good idea when you see or hear an ambulance going stop for a moment and say a fefila or tehilim the first moments are more crucial.
May we only hear besuros tovos.
perhaps we should make sure that we park in a way that allows us to drive forward from a parking lot or from a driveway
wow bli ayin hara!! so so happy for the family! boruch rofei cholim!!!!
