25 people were hospitalized after an NJ Transit bus from Lakewood crashed this morning on the NJ Turnpike, police said.

At approximately 7:27 a.m., an NJ Transit bus on the No. 139 line, operating from Lakewood to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York, collided with a truck while traveling north on the NJ Turnpike near Interchange 13 in Elizabeth.

The hospitalized are being treated for minor non-life threatening injuries, police said. The remaining customers were accommodated by another bus to continue their trip.

NJ State Police are leading the investigation.
