New Toms River Mayor, Police Chief at Odds Over Nixed Police Positions Used to Fund EMS

The funds being saved from the captain positions are being used to upgrade the EMS system.

Yesterday, the two went public about their issues, and both released statements about it.

  1. Sounds like just another Anti Law Enforcement politician playing to his woke base. Has anyone thought to mention his ties to the other party prior to changing his affiliation to get elected? #RINO

  2. I have read both letters and can understand each other’s position and rational behind their views. After reviewing the names, positions and salary of each name supplied in the letter, it angered me to see that it did NOT list any female names in these higher positions. Why? Is it an All Boys Club?

  3. Sounds like the Chief got whatever he wanted from the previous administrations and he’s not used to someone telling him No, The Mayor on the other hand is trying to make it work and the Chief is making it difficult for him, The Chief should move jobs around within the department and then ask the Mayor to eliminate a lieutenant and sergeant position instead of the captains position.
