New Toll Hikes Take Effect Today For All Port Authority Bridges and Tunnels

Motorists using any of Port Authority’s brides and tunnels will feel the pinch, once again. New toll increases took effect early this morning for all Port Authority bridges and tunnels.Cash tolls went up from $12 to $13 and EZ-pass users will have to pay $10.25, up from $9. 50 during peak commuting hours.

Off-peak tolls went up from $7.50 to $8.25.

Today’s toll hikes are the second of five annual increases approved last year.

The next toll hike will be on December 1, 2013. TLS.

  1. Someone has to pay for all the executives pay hikes. You would think in these hard times there would be pay freezes to stop these toll hikes. I guess there is no Recession for Government workers.

  2. Do you want to know where this money is going, look at who is getting pay increases and bonuses at the end of the year. It is not going into anything to do with the upkeep and maintenance it is going to pay the top executives of the Port Authority.
