New Shiur At The S.S.S.S.

Shapiro shiur ssss_wmIn case South Side Sandwich Shop wasn’t enough ‘S’s for you, you can now add another two ‘S’s-for R’ ‘Shapiro Shiur’ to the name, making it the S.S.S.S.S.S. place, on Thursday nights. A new Thursday night  on the Parsha has begun at the new South Side Sandwich Shop, given by R’ Yisroel Meir Shapiro (of Shapiro Baked Goods). So while you’re having some Cholent ‘N Kugel Thursday night, you can now add a Shiur to the menu as well. Or the way one participant calls it, the new ‘Munch ‘N Learn’ (a play on words taken from the famous Lunch & Learn Shiur by Reb Simcha Bunim Cohen Shlita, which takes place each day at the Coventry Shul).

  1. I was there last night and it was a beautiful thing to witness–where else can you learn while eating the BEST chulent in town!!
Keep up the great work R’ Yosef!
The newest place to be Thurs nights!!

  2. R’ YM also gives his shiur Friday Nights in Kol Chaim 618 Caranetta at 8pm. Hatzolah, Baker, Singer, Talmid Chochom he does it all. Shkoiach to SSSS for expanding our access to him. (& for the crispy nuggets)

  3. you should ask your rov whether you are alowed to learn and eat at the same time . not trying to give mussar but its not so pashut if its ok . listening to a shmuess is one thing but eating i and learning is not so simple . my rav told me not to

  4. to input for the day:
did anyone ask for your input if they want to learn then let them, at least someone is. and its not so pashut to tell someone who wants to learn, not to. anyway the food there is ausome and the learning just helps out the atmisphere and maybe now bizchus they wont have anymore problems like the breakin fri night. keep up the good work and shteig away.

  5. 13, SSSS now SSSSSS is located at the old getty station just south of the lake. I guess that is were the name south side comes from.

I have been going there since Reb Yosef took over, the food is awsome. Reb Yosef has been catering in town for many years and his food is top notch.

I can’t wait till next week to go to the shiur and of course have his BBQ Beef or BBQ wings or the Batter dipped Burger or so many of his differant items he has on his menu.

    All the best Yosef, Hatzlacha.

  6. the just learn of # 14 is not the same Just learn as the nay sayer just learn of Number 9. I just read his comment. Reb Yosef is doing such a wonderful thing here and this person just want to be negative.

Number 9 when you do something like Reb Yosef is doing than you can make comments like that.

Yosef like I said before continue doing the great work that you do and don’t let people like # 9 bother you.

just as its not so pashut to learn in an area that smells bad (dirty diaper, garbage ) etc so to its not so pashut to learn and eat at the same time . mocking halacha will one day come back and haunt you . better afe then sorry . so just ask your rav

  8. Doesn’t the mishna brura say that every meal should have divrei Torah? You eat at your shabbos table right? What’s the difference here. And it’s not like they are actually eating when they are saying over the divrei Torah, that comes after! YUM YUM!
