A new Department of Public Works Director has been named today, replacing the former director who resigned earlier this year, TLS has learned.
Patrick Donnelly, in his thirties, was named as the new director, Township officials tell TLS. Donnelly comes with experience as Director of Public Works in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey.
Donnelly will replace former Lakewood DPW Al Burdge, who resigned in January over the apparent failed and uncoordinated plowing following a large winter storm.
DPW Assistant Director Tony Arrechi, who served as the acting director until now, is expected to resume his position as Assistant Director.
Donnelly starts next week in Lakewood.
