New Jersey Traveler Placed Into Quarantine Over Coronavirus Fears

An individual who flew from China to Newark Tuesday was placed into a mandatory 12-day quarantine by the New Jersey Department of Health over coronavirus fears. The individual, who is not a resident of New Jersey, was not showing any symptoms of the illness, but officials decided to quarantine the person nevertheless. The individual is reportedly being held in quarantine at a location in Essex County.

The coronavirus, which has sickened over 100,000 people and killed hundreds, has officials racing to stop its spread, as the World Health Organization warns that it is quickly becoming a pandemic.
