New Jersey to Ban the Sale of all New Gasoline-Powered Vehicles by 2035

Under the adoption of a new rule made official by the Murphy administration today, the state of New Jersey will prohibit the sale of new gasoline-powered vehicles by 2035 as part of an effort to improve air quality and reduce planet-warming pollutants.

As first reported in June, the plan would require the sale of zero-emissions vehicles – which technically excludes gas-fired combustion engines, by the year 2035, but will first take effect starting in model year 2027.

The rule requires manufacturers of passenger cars and light-duty trucks to meet an annual ZEV requirement intended to increase the percentage of electric vehicles sold in New Jersey. The rule also ensures that traditional gasoline- and diesel-fueled vehicles are manufactured to meet more stringent exhaust emission standards, which will positively impact air quality in New Jersey communities, especially those near high-traffic corridors.

Beginning in 2027,43% of manufacturers’ vehicle sales will be required to be only electric vehicles, and increasing by between 6% and 8% each year until 2035.

The new restrictions would only apply to light-duty vehicles, or vehicles weighing less than 10,000 pounds.

The rules won’t take gas-powered cars off the street or ban the sale of used gas-powered cars.

The adoption of the Advanced Clean Car II rule is an evolution of rules adopted by the DEP in 2006 which incorporated, by reference, California’s ZEV requirement and emission control standards for all model year 2009 and subsequent passenger cars and light-duty trucks.
Consumer demand for electric vehicles continues to rise. The number of EVs in New Jersey has grown to more than 123,000, representing 12 percent of new vehicle sales. Since just last December, sales have surged 50 percent.

Denying reality is the essence of insanity and the Dems are once again displaying their insane contempt for the general public. Currently, all major news organizations are reporting the slowdown in EV sales and the cancellation of EV manufacturing facilities by automakers. Consumers are fed up with leftist greenies forcing expensive, less efficient electric vehicles down our throats! But yeah Lakewood, make nice to the Dems because they’re going to deliver tuition relief…NOT!!!

Gaza Residents Ask Gov. Murphy To Send Them Surplus Fuel That Will No Longer Be Used For Cars
With Hamas hoarding all of Gaza’s fuel supply, and NJ State announcing that gasoline-fueled cars will soon be obsolete, a group of Gaza city residents recently sent a secret letter to NJ Governor Phil Murphy requesting him to send them the excess fuel that NJ residents will no longer be using for their cars.
“Governor Murphy, if you no longer need the fuel for your automobiles, can you please send us some of the surplus fuel? We’d greatly appreciate it,” the letter stated. “Hamas has been hoarding all of our fuel for themselves! It’s crazy!”
“And please don’t send us the fuel via the UN humanitarian agencies,” the letter stated, “because Hamas always snatches the UN deliveries before it gets to us. Instead, send the fuel in a large blank envelope to Abdullah’s house. He’s trustworthy, and he will make sure the fuel reaches the small percentage of Gaza residents who are not affiliated with Hamas, or who are not supporters of the terrorist organization. Thanks.”
“P.S. We don’t know Abdullah’s exact address, but we know that he lives in a small apartment on the corner of Jihadi Street, right above Hamas tunnel No. 337A, across the street from the elementary school where the huge supply of rockets are stored, and next to the mosque where the Hamas command post is located. You can’t miss it.”
“Wishing you much success in your political endeavors, and thanking you in advance,
sincerely yours,
Hassan Bin Kassan
Ahmad El Hassan
Bilal Del Jassan
And the rest of the gang!”
