PHOTOS: New Jersey Senate President Nicholas Scutari Visits Lakewood [UPDATED]

New Jersey Senate President Nicholas Scutari paid a visit to Lakewood today, meeting with community activists and visited several Yeshivos.

A reception was also held at the home of Township Committeeman Meir Lichtenstein and was attended by representatives of the Lakewood Vaad, Agudath Israel of New Jersey, and other community organizations.

The Senator also received a tour of communal organizations such as Hatzolah and CHEMED Health Center.

Scutari took over as President of the New Jersey state Senate in January of this year following the stunning election upset of former Senate President Steve Sweeney in last year’s Legislative elections.

Sweeney, the longest serving senate President n New Jersey history, lost in an upset to Republican truck driver Edward Durr by nearly 2,100 votes.

  1. Scutari is the Democrat guy that wants to eliminate all gas boilers in NJ and put electric ones in. My most recent gas bill was $36.74 and my electric bill was $576.16. Do the math.
