New Jersey Rep. Josh Gottheimer announced today that he is officially entering the 2025 gubernatorial primary.
Gottheimer, a moderate Democrat who just won a fifth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, made his long-anticipated announcement at a diner in the North Jersey Congressional District which he represents, which includes most of Bergen County.
A strong ally of Israel, Gottheimer, who would be the first Jewish governor of New Jersey if elected in November 2025, has long focused on affordability issues and indicated that that would be a centerpiece of his run for governor as well.
“Living in Jersey has become too … expensive. We pay too much in taxes, too much to live,” Gottheimer said to the packed crowd. “It’s time for a reboot.”
Gottheimer joins a crowded field for the June primary, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, former Senate President Steve Sweeney, and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, and Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller, who also serves as president of the teacher’s union in New Jersey.
On the Republican side, four candidates already declared their candidacies, including talk show host Bill Spadea, former state Senator Ed Durr, state Senator Jon Bramnick and 2021 Republican gubernatorial nominee Jack Ciattarelli.
Although New Jersey is a reliably Democratic state on a federal level, the state has seen Republican governors, most recently Chris Christie, who served two terms after first being elected in 2009.
the truth is murphy did alot for kids in the state maybe when they grow up and learn about him they will begin to appreciate, but the state has got to move onwards, upwards and more important than cutting costs is making the state work for the people instead of having the people work for the state, and making the space we share clean, safe, and comfortable.

You mean the kids that weren’t killed because of him under the guise of baby murder. Bottom line is Governor Murphy is a very evil individual. As a test, his views are in line, not even one bit, with Torah values.
If we want New Jersey to become a better state again, we need to get rid of the Democrats finally. Let’s get conservative Republicans in office. Enough is enough. The Democrats have messed up our state enough already.

We need to vote for a Republican governor to make amends for having elected a frum Jew who made an unholy alliance with the evil Democrat party. There probably hasn’t been such a corrupt Democrat party since the days of “Boss” Tweed and Tammany Hall in the mid-19th century, and “Boss” Daley of Chicago in the mid-20th century.
