New Jersey Ranked Smartest State In The US

You’re smart, maybe even smarter than you think. In fact, you might be smarter than almost everyone else in the United States. A new ranking by SafeHome has New Jersey ranked as the smartest state in America.

The rankings are based on the number of adults with bachelor degrees (New Jersey is at 24.2%), adults with graduate degrees (15.2%), high school graduation rate (91%) Median SAT score (1090), and average ACT score (23.7).

Of course, not everyone in New Jersey has degrees or scored high on the SAT’s, but let’s be real, we know that we’re smarter than everyone else, right? Right.

The state with the lowest ranking was Idaho. I guess eating lots of potatoes is not great for your intelligence. But if you’re a New Jersey native, stick your nose up in the air and puff your chest out a bit. You’re a smarty-pants, and you know it.
