New Jersey OEM Deploying to California to Support Disaster Recovery Following the Devastating Fires

In response to an Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) request from California, five personnel from the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management (NJOEM) are deploying to assist with FEMA’s Public Assistance (PA) Program.

Serving as Program Delivery Managers and Task Force Leaders, NJOEM personnel will conduct site and preliminary damage assessments and provide technical guidance to county officials on Public Assistance projects.

Upon arrival in Pasadena, CA, they will undergo onboarding before potential reassignment to operational areas such as county Emergency Operations Centers, Disaster Recovery Centers, and Local Assistance Centers.
