New Jersey’s childhood vaccine requirements remain unchanged despite a federal executive order recommending fewer routine vaccinations for children, the state Department of Health said Tuesday.
President Trump’s executive order, signed August 10, does not change New Jersey law or the immunization schedule used by families, health care providers and schools, the department said.
“Families deserve clear, science-based guidance, not confusion,” New Jersey Health Commissioner Dr. Raynard E. Washington said in a statement. “The evidence behind childhood vaccines is clear, it has not changed, and New Jersey will continue to make sure every family can access the vaccines that keep their children safe.”
The state Department of Health continues to recommend that children receive vaccines on schedule and at the ages when they have been shown to provide the greatest protection.
The department also pushed back against renewed claims linking vaccines to autism, saying the connection has been extensively studied and disproven.
New Jersey said it will use its authority to maintain access to vaccines and provide information to families, health care providers, schools and local health officials.
New Jersey parents and caregivers with questions about vaccinations are encouraged to consult their child’s pediatrician or other health care provider.
Information on the state’s immunization requirements for child care, preschool, K-12 schools and higher education, as well as resources for finding low- or no-cost vaccines, is available through the state Department of Health.

“science-based guidance” – reminds me of that “science-based” info that Dr. Fauci was spewing about during the Covid epidemic. Years ago children received about 7 shots over a period of time and they had no problems. Today’s children, who get the recommended high number of shots, seem to be more ill with various complaints.
