New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal Resigning

New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal will resign his position today after being offered to become the Director of Enforcement at the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Governor Murphy is not expected to announce a permanent successor to Grewal before the November general election, and First Assistant Attorney General Andrew Bruck is expected to take over as Acting Attorney General until Murphy chooses a permanent successor.

In announcing his resignation, Governor Murphy thanked AG Grewal for his service to the state, and specifically for fighting against the Trump administration.

“Through his efforts standing up to the Trump administration’s attacks on New Jersey and our diverse communities, instituting historic reforms in policing, and leading the fight against gun violence, Attorney General Grewal has been an invaluable member of our administration and a dedicated public servant to the residents of New Jersey,” Murphy said in a statement. “Though we’ll miss his leadership, I know he’s the right person to protect investors all across the nation, and I congratulate SEC Chair Gensler for this outstanding selection.”

  1. He made so much trouble, and wasted tens of millions of our tax dollars. This is One happy day for the people of New Jersey

  2. What leadership is Governor Knucklehead talking about?
If Trump said yes then he said NO! and Trump was right.

Did you hear the one about the illegals demanding $1 billion taxpayer dollars for their COVID relief, they even shutdown the NJ turnpike in protest.
Governor Knucklehead offered them $40 million guess that is not enough

November can’t come soon enough for me.

  3. Both comments 1&2. I guess you people have no hakaras hatov and don’t understand how much the governor and his AG did for us.

Who stood up against rise up ocean county? Who shut down their hateful FB page? Who fights for us in Jackson when we are discriminated? Have you followed what he actually did for us? And yes the governor protecting our religious rights and not shutting us down? If you prefer the good olde Christie days when frum jews were discrimnated against and arrested for small minor mdeicad infractions in a media like sensation then yes go vote for a republcian in NOV.

PS I am an avid trump supporter but you need to be issues based. Klal Yisroel comes first in golus.

    • @Issues_Based_Voter, you forgot one thing: And who is leading the witch hunt against Osher Eisenman?!
I happen to support Murphy too, but Grewal is a mixed bag.
