Instead of complaining respect the residents of Lakewood that are not from your communities. Lakewood is for everyone. Respect Separation of Church and State

Uncle Sam to Lakewood Township: “Why Can’t My Birthday Be Celebrated on My Actual Birthday Like Everyone Else’s Birthday?!”
A clearly distraught Uncle Sam issued a heartfelt statement on Wednesday complaining about Lakewood Township’s rescheduled Independence Day Fireworks Show.
“Why am I the only birthday celebrant on Planet Earth whose birthday is celebrated after his actual day of birth?” the 250-year old dejected uncle said. “Do the Russians celebrate Russia’s birthday after its day of birth? I don’t think so.”
The age-defying uncle went on to quote dozens of Lakewood residents who explained to him that his birthday celebration was postponed due to both the inclement weather and the power outages which required the full attention of Lakewood’s DPW crews and emergency service personnel. But Uncle Sam wasn’t having any of that.
“You don’t treat a 250-year old uncle – who’s given you all the freedoms you could ask for – like a discarded rag,” he said. “Weather, shmether, outages, shmoutages. All I wanted was some fireworks and some drones, and a delightful piece of birthday cake. Was that too much to ask for?!”
America’s favorite uncle then went on to issue the following threat.
“There is the distinct possibly that I may not even show up to my belated birthday celebration.” he said, “After all, July 16th is National Cherry Day, and I wouldn’t miss THAT day of celebration if you paid me!”

I’m so grateful that we finally have a date for the fireworks ,I’m also grateful to know that I will pass the test of keeping the nine days and not going to the show , which would be highly inappropriate for all those mourning the temple that was destroyed, and proving to G-d that we can’t enjoy ourselves while being in exile, especially in the times set aside for mourning .

Just curious; why is it that the posts about it being canceled had way more comments than this one saying it will be rescheduled? I think we should try to be fair, if you will complain, then you should also thank when whatever it is, gets taken care of. Just something to think about….
