New Central Construction Project Postponed Until Summer

The construction project on New Central Avenue which was supposed to begin this Monday, was postponed until Summer, TLS has learned. The Board of Transportation Committee’s Chairman Isaac Zlatkin said the County has postponed the project until after the school year, so that the busing schedules would not be affected.

The Ocean County Road Department will be milling and paving New Central Avenue between Rt 547 and 528.

well camps are not mandatory like school is, so the kids can be late, and the parents will have to find alternative routes to take. Now what about COunty Line ROad thats worse than Central AVenue.

How about Rt 88? Is that State or County? It’s also beyond horrible!

Rt. 88

was just milled and repaved in the last 2 years. The problem with these roads after they are repaved is when developers come in and tear them up to put in sewer, water and gas to their projects and don’t make the road in that area new again, just throw some cold patch down and tamp it, then you get speed bumps or pot holes in the winter.

Well, at least they can put more “Rough Road ” signs? They are very helpful.
