NOTICE: If you drive across Madison Avenue at 7th Street and you get pulled over, don’t be surprised. In an effort to ease congestion at the intersection, a new sign has just been placed at the corner (Clifton side) reading “Right turn only weekdays 7a.m.-7p.m.”- making it illegal to cross over Madison during weekdays. Turning left is also now illegal.

in addition, turning left on 11th street onto madison (coming from clifton) is also now illegal during the same times
Just wondering…. Have you checked this out with the Traffice Dept.?
Maybe just left turns are not allowed?
And my Rye’ah is that on the other side there isn’t a sing (or is there?)
In addition, 3rd street coming up to clifton you may only make a right turn onto clifton during the same hours as above.
this is insane how am i supposed to get to yeshiva, istead they should put a traffic light there, also how does this ease congestion ? madison has right of way, it dont add up
Efsher: Then the sign would simply be a No Left Turn sign. What’s posted is Right Turn Only.
Toy Store: Simple. Cross Route 9 at 6th or 9th witht the light.
They are giving a grace period for people to get used to the changes, so they will not be ticketing yet.
more tickets
more revenue
just like bloomberg
a big thank you to our askanim who work tirelessly to ease the congestion from the streets .
Is is shayach that this rule should only apply during the zman and not during bein hazmanim?? It’s a bigger to’eles harabim that way.. LOL
I hear officer butterworth is in charge of the new traffic patterns, im sure he wouldn’t make a change if it did not benefit the community
It’s turning into a mini B.P. with one way streets & right turn only. I hate B.P. traffic and that is just what is happening here real soon. What next, NO TURN ON REDS either??
Maybe they should have the Darkanu bus stop somewhere else less congested too. That causes a lot of traffic on that corner as well.
Btw, can’t anyone here spell??
i have nothing to do with this
“kol pinos she’atah poneh, lo yehu ela yemin”
It’s an emese torahdike shtot.. b”h they didn’t make it left turns only!!
LOL
also,. Lexington @ 88, 1st, 3rd, 5th @ Madison, and 1st St is going to be 1 way from Clifton to Monmoth the other way.
there WILL be a grace period
I havent seen officer Butterworth in quite some time. I hope he is OK.
Maybe everyone should just stay home, that would ease traffic congestion for sure.
The important lesson here is to know in which direction the road of life you have chosen to be on will lead you.. so before you embark on that road, make sure you are aware of the eventual consequence!!
Get ready for 6 and 9 to be further backed up. This is a short term solution. M
finealy there doing ‘somthing’ about traffic! &the olim is complaning? chill out & say thank you ! let’s hope it works out well.!
y don’t u post my comments?
Butterworth for mayor.
the same sign is already on 5th st. coming from clifton only right turns allowed
This could actually make Route 9 even MORE backed up at 6th & 9th until the dedicated left turn lanes are installed. That isn’t supposed to happen for another year.
What is the big deal? If you need to get across the street just go to the next light. If you dont like how the town is being run why dont you just move out. They try their hardest to please everyone yet there are still plenty of people still not happy.
these changes are gr8. cant wait for the all way stop coming to park and 7th
Who is this “Butterworth”?
move to another shtetil if you dont like it . clevland has blinking lights all over passed 11 oclock. all reds are blinking there . great place to live to
speaking of spelling . Take a look in your own mirror . What does BTW mean? . Also where did you learn grammer and punctuation? Or did you win that knowlege in an oorah lottery?

Its going to help the shiduch crisis because the girls are going to be spending more time on the roads looking for the right way so the age gap will soon end . Its worth the hassle just for the shidduch crisis alone
Butterworth for Mayor……..then Meyer for chief
We should be able to get out of poverty real soon with all of these new traffic laws, just hink of how many tickets can be easily generated in one day.
PLEASE PUT MORE SIGNS UP-GET THE BIG PICTIRE, KEEP THAT SHIELD OF DEFENSE AND MOST OF ALL—–LEARN TO READ
