[Submitted by organizer] In response to the closure of the Chestnut Shul ‘Minyan factory’ coming to a stop, a new late Minyan has opened L’toeles Harabim on the South side of the Lake.
The new Minyan will take place at the Chateau Park Vasikin Shul, located at 189 Chateau Drive in the Basement.
The Minyan will be starting this coming Sunday, December 11, and continue throughout the year. This will be the only Minyan there, besides for Vasikin Minyan each morning.

How is it “L’toeles Harabim” having a 9:30 minyan after the Zman? I’ve never seen L’toeles Harabim referenced when Lifnei Ivair is at play.

Sof Zman Tefilah today was at 10:14 and there’s no Chiyuv of Davening before Sof Zman Krias Shma, so I’m not sure what your problem is

and krias shema should be said before davening, same for the 8:30 minyan in chateau 🙂

First of all its before zemani tefila.Second of all even if it was afterwards where does it say in הלכה if one davens after zeman tefila for what ever reason he is supposed to daven without a minyan.
I am in shock at the negative commmmmmt on this story. As @RElax said: Stop Judging !! Maybe someone had a rough night ? MAybe its a bochur coming back on the derech ? we should be happy he’s davenning AT ALL, let alone Coming to SHUL !!
@command post – I agree 100%. Unreal how a bunch of u guys just passeled up every guy that davens after 8:30. May u never have to sit up with a patient in a hospital over night or have a colicy baby. Actually, maybe u should. The Mishna says not to judge and you are.
Is there somewhere a list of all minyanim in Lakewood. There was once a telephone number, but they never updated the list and don’t seem to be interested in updating the list.
Oh this should be a breeze! I mean, Chateau is just so easy to get to down Route 9! Oh and all that parking, right? And when you are done davening will everyone come out and try to make a left onto 9 together?? Right.

I wonder how many people who protested the idea of davening after 9am park illegally in other people’s driveways and lots in order to get there? I have a hard time imagining that Hashem wants to hear the Tefillos of the people who daven in Satmar but park in Dr Shanik’s lot, stealing spots from sick children. But Chas V’shalom it should be after 9:30.
How can a shul make it osur to make a minyan after 9:30 am!?!?
It does sometimes happen that some people miss zman tfilla and there is no reason that it should not be allowed for them to make a minyan.
