Governor Murphy on Monday lamented the fact that the majority of New Jersey residents who have been reached regarding the state’s contact tracing program are refusing to cooperate.
“The rate of noncooperation with our contact tracers is now up to a whopping 74% of cases,” Murphy said at his daily news conference. “Quite frankly, this is unacceptable, and we need folks to turn that around. It is extremely critical for contact tracers to get in touch with the close contacts of those who test positive to help us stop the spread of this virus.”
Contact tracing is when a person who is confirmed to have been infected with COVID-19 is contacted by a state official who questions them regarding their recent contacts and places they visited so that the state can inform other people who may have been exposed to the virus in the hopes that they will quarantine themselves.
New Jersey has the highest coronavirus death rate per capita in the US and a 25% increase in the 7-day average of new cases since the beginning of December, with health officials blaming gatherings over Thanksgiving Day weekend for the troubling rise.
Contact Tracing Update:
We now have more than 30 contact tracers on the ground for every 100,000 residents.
The rate of non-cooperation is now up to a whopping 74%.
This is not a witch hunt. We’re only trying to stop the spread of this virus.

Despite the numbers you’re hearing, based on the numbers provided by NJ health department on December 7th, the real numbers are that 99.65% of the state of New Jersey, is walking around without the virus.
They came up with newfangled math to make it sound like so many people are walking around sick.
That’s not to say it might be dangerous for people who get it. Even the CDC admitted that the real number of fatalities is only 6% of the number being reported, so let’s say 6% of 250k. The rest are fatalities caused by other reasons where China virus may or may not have been a factor. Look the numbers yourself and see that people are mysteriously are not passing away from other things that they’ve passed away from in previous years, they are old now Chinese Wuhan Virus.
According to your numbers 0.35% are sick with Corona today in NJ. Given that NJ has a population of 8.8 million people that works out to about to almost 31,000 people that are infected. That means that there are hundreds of sick people in each and every NJ town. To me that is very significant given that this is deadly.
I don’t know where you are getting your information that only 6% of reports COVID deaths are actual COVID deaths. That cannot be true.
If you want to see that COVID deaths are a real thing look at this CDC web page: cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm
Scroll down till you see the bar chart. The chart shows death data for the US from 2017 to the present. The blue bars show actual weekly deaths from all causes. The orange trend line is what I like to call the predictive margin of error. In other words, based on past trends, the CDC would expect roughly the same amount of deaths in the population from year to year obviously within some margin of error. If the number of deaths exceeds what’s expected for a given week, then that would indicate that there is something fishy going (a natural disaster, a plague r”l). They are not going to sound the alarm if there a few excess deaths, but it is alarming when the number is significant. So the orange line indicates what the rate has to stay below in order that it not signal a crisis. When the death rate goes above the orange line, it is indicated by red plus signs over the offending bar.
Notice that starting in April 2020, there are red bars over every week’s data.
It is hard to tell from this bar chart how many actual excess deaths there are, but if you poke around their website and look at tables of numbers you will see that during 2020 there are a significant number of excess deaths and those numbers roughly correspond to what other sources are calling COVID deaths.
The bottom line is that there were a lot more people that died in the USA in 2020 than was expected. The only explanation is COVID.
If you are worried about COVID, call Somech. THey have prevention and intervention information. It’s a treatable disease, but you need to the have the information and while some doctors are helping their patients, many doctors are not providing the medications and information needed.
