Nearly 100 Sign Up For 5k Run To Benefit The Special Childrens Center

scc-joggersThe Special Children’s Center tells TLS close to 100 people have already signed up for their first ever Jog-A-Thon event – a special walk, run, or jog for special children. The Jog-A-Thon, a 5 Kilometer run, will raise funds to benefit the special needs childrenthe Special Childrens Center of NJ.

The Center provides round the clock respite services and support to over 150 families raising children with special needs.

“Parents of special-needs children face the monumental task of dividing their time and attention between the special child and his siblings, especially at times when there is no school, when all are vying for their parents’ attention”, says the Center. “The Center alleviates this overwhelming burden while providing the children with an environment that is warm, nurturing, and productive”.

The 5 Kilometer Jog-A-Thon – coordinated by Moshe Serebrowski – will be taking place on Labor Day weekend.

  5. Mrs.Bender works selflessly 24/7 for the special children’s center. I know this personally as Ive known her for the 15 years plus that the centers been up and running for. May Hashem repay her and her family, and may He give her the siyata dishmaya to continue the work she does.
