N.J. Faces Growing Shortage Of Doctors Due To Med School Costs, Insurance Concerns

doctorNew Jersey faces a widening shortage of physicians within the next nine years without reforms that improve the business environment to practice medicine in the state and funding to help medical school more affordable, health-care industry experts are warning. “New Jersey’s business and health-care leaders must partner with our legislators and key policymakers to make our state a friendlier environment for our physicians,” said Patricia Costante, CEO of Lawrence-based malpractice insurance provider MDAdvantage.

“Investing in the future of our state’s physicians is a long-term commitment, and we need to act immediately to create a more appealing place for physicians to open and maintain their medical practices,” Costante said. Read more in Star Ledger.

  1. So now the Sue-Happy Americans are getting a taste of their own “Medicine”…
What are they thinking? Its like all other thieves out there trying to make a quick buck on someone elses back. Eventually, sometimes sooner and sometimes later, it WILL come back to bite them. This time, its a little too hard to handle. Because so many others are suffering in return. Less Doctors, Higher Premiums, Less services, Higher Costs.
Had we been smarter we would have sent these Unions, Democrat Politicians- or to some it up – LIBERALS, back to the SOCIALISTs countries they truly belong and leave the true Americans that believe in true liberties- to thrive and prosper.
When you leave people that ‘believe’ in spreading-the-wealth, stealing from Joe to give to Sam & all other Lazy-Good-For-Nothings, Businesses, Doctors, Entrepreneurs and anyone else wanting to live the American dream move and take their money elsewhere.
    WAKE UP, PEOPLE!
Or better yet, go back to sleep and let someone else go to work for you…
How does BO say it to those still out there working? “Work harder: Millions of people on welfare are counting on you!”

  2. As Obamacare is implemented, it will get worse and worse…..

There is nothing free in the world.

Cuba, Canada, and Great Britain’s healthcare systems are teetering. Everyone gets the same garbage healthcare for free, and after about a nine-month waiting list.

We will be there soon as well. Thank you Obama, and thank you liberals and Democrats.

  3. I agree with #4 , I went to college here in new jersey and they charged me 10000 per semester, for nothing, they Dodnt teach u anything in college.

  4. A college degree is a big joke most masters and bachelors degrees, that take 4 or 5 years to complete, in reality could be learned in 1 year they waste ur time and money in these colleges .

  5. Don’t forget after College ($$) then there is medical school ($$$), and internship, then maybe a fellowship ($) for a speciality. Don’t forget what malpractice insurance costs – after all the lawyers have to make a living.
