New Jerseyans who purchase late-model used cars are getting a break from the state Motor Vehicle Commission. MVC Acting Chief Administrator Shawn Sheekey announced today that effective Jan. 1 used vehicles purchased in or out of New Jersey will no longer require a full inspection until they are at least four years old. Sheekey said the change will save time for motorists and allow the MVC to reduce volume at inspection facilities. If the purchased vehicle has a valid New Jersey inspection sticker, no inspection will be required until it expires. If not, the buyer will get a form when the car is registered, then take it to the re-inspection area at any inspection facility to receive an inspection sticker. AP

I don’t understand the last two sentences. This what we do now. What changed?
Read it again. They won’t need to have it actually inspected, rather merely “take it to the re-inspection area at any inspection facility to receive an inspection sticker”.
