PHOTOS: A single vehicle MVA which occurred on Madison Avenue has taken out power in the area of Madison Avenue and 12th Street. At approximately 2:30 PM, a truck crashed head on to a tree on Madison Avenue, after reportedly being cut off by another driver, causing the truck to lose control. The truck knocked over the tree, which took out the power line above. Several businesses and homes in the area have been affected.
The patient of the truck was transported by Hatzolah to Kimball Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
The Fire Department also responded to the scene.
Madison Avenue has been shut in both directions between 12th Street and Courtney, and may be several hours before power is restored to the area. TLS-55/TLS-CCP/TLS-94/TLS-CG/TLS-00
how did the truck end up at such an odd angle? it seems he drove between the apartment buildings to crash into the tree… weird
there is a wedding in Bais faiga tonight, power is out in the building . can anyone help
were they able to say WHO…cut them off..????
do you know anybody with a very big generator., or pray that power is restored. mazel tov to the new couple
It’s called physics. The truck hit the tree more to the left of center so it rotated to the position it was photographed in. The left side stopped while the right side wanted to continue its original direction.
To #3: Contact Chaveirim. Mazal Tov!

Thanks for the clarification! I couldn’t figure out how the vehicle ended up like that but it makes sense now 🙂
Cut off in lakewood? You don’t say. Driving through lakewood is an experience all to its own. The cars themselves are a pleasure to look at. Most appear to resemble that picture above.
