PHOTOS & VIDEO: A 2 vehicle MVA this morning ended with one vehicle taking out a traffic light, one vehicle landing in a backyard of a home, and one driver arrested after fleeing the scene. The incident happened at about 9:15 AM at the intersection of County Line Road and Laurelwood Avenue. After crashing his minivan, the Hispanic male took his keys and ran.
Moments later, an Officer spotted the man running on 14th Street, and he was taken into custody.
The other vehicle plowed through a fence and a swingset before landing at the rear of a backyard. At least one child was in the car at the time.
None of the parties involved were injured.
The road was cleared by Hatzolah and Police, and is expected to be opened shortly. TLS-CCP.

Driving in Lakewood is a full contact sport
how fast do you think the car was going to take down a light pole , go up a curb ,take down a chain link fence, travel 50ft. , take down a swing set, then travel another 20or30 ft….thre are no skid marks in the grass.?
Mr. Conservative…
many hispanics drive w/o a license or registration – so when accident happens they run. A hispanic once went thru a stop sign & hit me. He tried to drive his car away but it was too damaged & he had to stop. He was willing to pay whatever I asked as long as the police weren’t called.
i guess this never happend, am i right…so much for what really gos on..?
i saw it myself yesterday. traffic light was lying on the side of the road….
Those fraudulent PA plates is sacone l’rabim and there must be way to take them off the road.
I actually find cars with PA plates are usually driving slow- keeping BELOW the speed limit, and stopping before the lights even turn yellow- Because they are so worried about being pulled over.
