Multiple Vehicles Slash Their Tires On Water Main Cover

PHOTO: A water main cover not properly installed on New Hampshire Avenue resulted in multiple vehicles slashing their tires today. At about 4:00 PM, Police and Chaveirim responded to the area of New Hampshire and Cedarbridge Avenues near the LTMUA, where passing motorists kept slashing their tires on a water main cover sticking out of the ground, following a construction job.

At least two of the vehicles had to be towed after slashing two of their tires.

The others, were assisted by Chaveirim.

The motorists say they hope to be reimbursed by LTMUA, whom the cover belongs to. TLS-MK.

  1. hey bingo, its not the county’s responsibility. call the water company. its their water main. but in reality we ( the public ) will pay for it anyway. if the county fixes it (its not their problem though) it will be repaired with tax dollars. if the water co. fixes it your water bill will rise accordingly to offset the cost.
