Multiple vehicles were once again burglarized overnight in Lakewood.
The vehicle burglaries occurred in the Ridge Avenue area at around 3 AM.
Cash, an MP3 player were among items stolen, residents said. All vehicles made entry to were reportedly left unlocked.
Authorities are investigating and reviewing area surveillance footage which captured the suspect.
Whispering pines squankum area had as well
I hope my wife will finally start listening to me and not to be so lax about locking the car doors! I can’t afford to lose my property to the bad guys due to carelesness..
My daughter locked her car and was still broken into in Whispering Pines.
A car in another development had its window smashed a couple of nights ago because the thief thought there were valuables inside. I would rather the crook take some spare change and keep my windows intact. Similar idea – when the cops were called in middle of the night because of the thieves, they came around and gave out parking tickets at 3AM! Who cause greater damage, the thieves or the cops??
The thieves. The cops are just doing their jobs.
With all these car break-ins, why would anyone leave valuables in their car? I there is nothing to steal, the bad guys will move on.
My vehicle was actually stolen last night from the East End area and found in a Howell parking lot by police.
Special thanks Chief Andrew Kudrick and his team; Ptl. Mathew Cuzzo, Ptl. Jayme Higgins and Detective Nagy for another job well done!
