Multiple Shots Fired, No Injuries Reported

shooting sceneThere were many bullets flying late last night and early this morning, but there were no victims reported. Sources say Police received multiple calls between the hours of 12AM and 2:30 AM this morning of shots fired in the area of Route 88 and New Hampshire, East 7th Street, Ridge Avenue and other areas, but police found no victims, or shooters.

Over the last several months, there have been several shootings, and deaths in those areas. The most recent fatal shooting  in the area took place on Stirling Avenue. TLS-CCP/TLS-44/TLS-00

  1. This is what happens when the police department is short 40 officers , just wait and see all the crys to hire more officers when one of our own gets shot in the cross fire.

  2. Haven’t you read what the chief of police said..there is no money for more officers..they are lucky to have what they have now and that isn’t enough. Lakewood is still a township. According to the census we missed becoming a city by 8,000 people..so you have to wait another 10 yrs before we become a city

Well with the direction we are heading with crime lets hope we never get to be a “city” and the article also stated the number of people that reside here really has nothing to do with having the status of being a city . Like I said it used to be a nice place to live Imoved here many years ago to get away from a city environment and all the problems that cities present
