Multiple residents in assisted living facility in Lakewood test positive for Covid-19

Multiple elderly patients in an assisted living facility in Lakewood tested positive for Covid-19 over Yom Tov, TLS has learned.

According to information we received, at least three patients tested positive on the first day of Yom Tov, prompting the facility to shut down the Davening, and keep residents locked in their rooms.

All the patients reportedly showed no symptoms of Covid-19.

Tests are being conducted on the other patients, the source said.

In the days leading up to Yom Tov, there were reports of other recent local cases.

A representative from CHEMED stated, “doctors are working together to track any possible new cases and any increase of cases will be reported accordingly.”

  1. Due to new regulations, tests are being performed across the board at all facilities. Many positives are coming up which are in fact dead virus from people who are still testing positive even though they already fully recovered. Let’s wait to hear more information.

  2. Hopefully they give them quercetin and zinc. Someone working in a nursing home used my suggestion weeks ago and gave a 102 year old these two safe supplements. While many of the people in that particular nursing home passed way or developed symptoms this resident didn’t even develop symptoms.
Quercetin is a safe alternative to HQC and together with zinc is a potential prophylaxis and early treatment imo.

  3. @Eli you are confusing the two tests. The live virus test does not have positive results for those that have already had COVID-19 — the test that would give those results is the antibody test.

The problem with the majority of antibody tests is that the test hives a positive if certain genetic markers are found — and false positives are given if two or three other human corona virus antibodies are present. These non-Covid-19 corona viruses are ones that cause an illness similar to the common cold and most people have had one of them in their lifetime.

No you are mistaken the nose swap test is shouting positive because of the dead virus.
The blood test is antibodies, doesn’t test for active virus.

  5. To J you shouldn’t give medical option if you aren’t qualified. I don’t know who or whAt you are.
My Dr said not like what your saying.
    He said like @Eli.

  6. To J

Eli is correct. I personally know several people that have tested positive more than 5 or 6 weeks after their symptoms were gone. Several top doctors told them that they are absolutely not contagious as the nasal swab is finding dead virus cells . The consensus is that after around 11 days ,a person is no longer contagious. So many of the positive test results recently were from people that were infected many weeks ago and are no longer sick or contagious. Even the Israeli health ministry biggest professor, admitted several days ago ,that the majority of the recent positive test results are false. If course if a person did not have previous symptoms, he has to assume that he is positive and stay away from people but if you were sick over a month ago and are recovered, then the positive result is likely false.

  7. if they are testing daily or regularly according to guidelines, how can they be old cases? Wouldn’t they have shown up before?

  8. @J
I am not confusing the two. Antibody test are something else, agreed. But the regular covid test can continue to give positive results well beyond the contagious period. A study was just released which found that after approximately 11 days the virus can no longer be cultivated in a lab. That means that at that point it is dead. However it is still there by the tests will detect it. This said we cannot know right away the situation and necessary precautions need to be implemented at affected facilities until the situation is clarified.

  9. If any of them our your relatives, find a Dr. who will prescribe hydroxychloroquine. I personally know numerous elderly people whose lives were saved because of it. Don’t listen to the liberal hacks who are trying to discredit it. Dont even listen to me. Go do research & you won’t find a single real person who had complications. You will find many people who were near death & were saved because of it.

Its important to start them on the med before they need the hospital – then they will continue it. Once a person is admitted, you are fighting against their $38K profit that they’ll receive for putting the patient on a vent.

  10. In addition to hydroxychloroquine make sure to constantly check oxygen levels and take ZINC! ALso vitamin D, C, warm drinks, and ginger juice. There is also a hotline that gives out a solution for the skin and for nebulizing that is very successful. Ask around, get the number and do all of the above right away. The longer you wait the harder it is to recover!
