Multiple People Injured in Multi-vehicle Accident on Rt. 70 [PHOTOS]

Multiple people were injured in an accident on Route 70 in Lakewood this evening.

The multi-vehicle accident happened at approximately 11:30 PM at the intersection of Route 70 and Vermont Avenue.

Extrication was requested to free a patient of one of the vehicles involved.

There are reports of four injuries at this time.

Avoid the area.

  4. Once again I blame the town planners for allowing the abundance of housing to happen without any thought to the infrastructure. It’s ridiculous and completely dangerous. I’m expecting many more accidents and fatalities. These new multi-home developments are a blight on the scenery. I’ve only lived in Toms River for 6 years, but, as soon as possible, I’m getting out.
