Multi-Vehicle MVA On Verrazano Bridge Causing Heavy Delays

PHOTOS: [UPDATED 9:35 AM] Those traveling to or from Brooklyn should expect heavy delays on the Verrazano Bridge due to a multi car accident. The crash occurred in the Brooklyn-bound upper lanes at about 8:20 AM, with one of the vehicles landing on top of another.

There are no injuries reported at this time, but traffic in both directions are backed up heavily.

There are reports of approximately a one hour delay into Brooklyn.

UPDATE 9:35 AM. 1010 WINS is reporting an 85 minute delay into Brooklyn.

I actually crossed the Verrazzano just around 9:30 and had ZERO traffic. There was terrible traffic on the SIe though. To get around that, I used the streets. Took maybe 13 minutes to get from Goethals to Verrazano while everyone else sat on the SIE.
