The Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority is currently conducting their comprehensive annual flushing of water mains. As a result, customers may experience some discoloration of their water.
Should this occur, you should let run your cold water later in the day until it clears, the MUA says.
You may also notice a temporary decrease in water pressure during this period. If you are planning to replace your water filter, you should wait until after the MUA has finished their annual flushing.
The flushing is expected to end in May, weather permitting, the MUA says.
You can call (732) 363-4422 ext 6 for specific updates and daily locations. [TLS]
