Motorcyclist Seriously Injured on Madison Avenue

PHOTO: A motorcyclist was seriously injured this morning after being cut off by another motorist. The motorcyclist was reportedly riding Northbound on Madison Avenue at 14th Street when a driver cut in front of him, causing him to lose control, throwing him off his bike. The driver of the vehicle then continued Northbound on Route 9, police say.

Hatzolah Paramedics and EMS responded to the scene.

The victim was transported by EMS to Jersey Shore Medical Center with unknown injuries.

  1. This is so very unfortunate, and it happens all too often. A neighbor and good friend was nearly killed this way last Autumn.
    Drivers, please, please look more carefully before you pull out!
    Let us hope the rider will be ok.

  2. SAD!!!! daily news in Lakewood. we need a town-hall meeting to discuss the accident level in Lakewood. it should contain some charts with statistical & comparative analysis.

  3. Yes, but I will reserve judgment until I find out how fast the cyclist was going.

    I’m NOT blaming the victim; I just want to be clear that we need to know the whole story before we assign blame.

  4. People just have to be totally posirive when they make truns instead of just making it. And yes slowing down and driving the speed limit would help.
