Motor Vehicle Agency Reopens 6 Months After Fire

The Toms River Motor Vehicle Agency on Hooper Avenue will reopen Monday, six months after a fire caused its closure. According to a news release, the agency at 1861 Hooper Ave. had been closed and under repair because of damage caused by a Nov. 30 fire at the Village Square Plaza. Driver testing services will resume at the location beginning at 8 a.m. Monday. The Manahawkin Agency at 712 East Bay Ave. and the Lakewood Agency at 1195 Route 70 (Leisure Center) still are available to serve customers in Ocean County.
